& function and percentages

So I have a cell A7 with 7.00% in it.
When I use
=(A7&A8)
it gives me 0.07.
How do I make it return the original 7.00%?

Dunno what's in A8, or why you would catenate numbers like that, but to see 0.07 as 7%, format the cell as %.

Sorry, well actually I want to combine that number with words in A8 into a sentence.

=text(a7, "0%") & a8

or perhaps

=text(a7, "0% ") & a8
