    Cool Series Marker on Chart

    Hi everybody,

I have a chart in my workbook and got 2 groups on it, Start Group and End Group, each point in the start group matches with a point in the end group and these 2 matched points are always close to each other...

I need either to be able to make the series marker looks like an arrow from the start point to the end, or to format the series marker to look like a line to match beween them.

Is that possible, or is there any other idea to do that??

    Cheers

    Re: Series Marker on Chart?

Example is attached, I'm showing 2 data points on the chart and would like to add a line or an arrow as I mentioned above between them?
the same will be for the rest of each pair of the data...

    Cheers

    Re: Series Marker on Chart

I used the INDEX/FIND formula to create a set of XY values based on the specified location.

In xl2007 you can set the end style of the line to use arrows.

In xl2003 you can simply apply the line style to the series

Biggest problem is the distance between location is so small you can not see the arrow heads.

Andy, I need to do that in 2003 version, when you add line you don't know which point is the start and which is the end???

    Re: Series Marker on Chart

One approach would be to use an additional series that plots just the end point.
For this series you could use a circular data marker.

Or with some complex trig you could draw the arrow head.
