    Drop-down formatting

    Hello,

I am working with a drop down menu that lists times at 15 minute intervals starting at 5 am and ending at 10 pm. The problem is if I've made a selection at 9 pm and go to change it, it always starts at the beginning of the list. Is there a way I can set it so it displays the times around 9 pm instead of starting at 5 am everytime. I hope I am being clear.

    Thanks,

    Marc

Sounds like you are using a Data Validation drop down, in which case you are out of luck. If you can use a combo box, then it will "remember" the current selection and display the list starting from there. Of course, using the combo box may mean a different approach if you are using the selection for calculations.

Will a combo box make it load slower?

Not necessarily. In general, it usually more efficient to use the built-in feature/functions than it is to use VBA code. Thus built-in features should always have first consideration and priority (IMO) over VBA. However, if it is just a combo box you should not notice any difference in performance.
