compare two column & highlight

dear friends i want to compare column "A" & "B".if any values are matched.that both cells should highlight.pls help me.

set a conditional format on columns A and B. Highlight your data, starting in row 1, then use Conditional Formatting - Formula is

=A1=B1

No $ signs. Set a format and hit OK.

Hi,
Attache you'll find a wb with 2lists to compare.
I found some formulas on the net that you find in the workbook.
I use some conditional format on cells A2:A8 and E2:E7
Select a cell and see the conditional format used.(menu Format => conditional formatting)

Columns D and I have a formula :

Formula is cell A2 : =IF(ISERROR(MATCH(F2;$A$2:$A$8;0));"No";"Yes - found on row (" & MATCH(F2;$A$2:$A$8;0)+1 & ")")
