    Page Title Letters

I'm making a map page index... How do I get it, at the top right of each page, to display the Character of the first cell? Ex: BREEZY POINT LN is the first entry on the "B" page, and I want it to display B in the top right of the page when printed...

    Thanks
    Mike

Not sure how you are set up but lets say your first entry is in A2, You can use this formula

    =LEFT(A2,1)

Is that what you are looking for?

It's a lovely worksheet but you don't explain on there exactly what you want. Seems like street names and they aren't in alphabetical order. Are you going to put these into Alphabetical order. At that point, will you force page breaks between letter changes or will the page break where it will? Will you be wanting the big B in the header of every page?

They're in alphabetical order already? I ignored the directional (N, S, E, and W)... I want the letter to be at the very top right of each individual page...

What about the R's in "N R59" for example? It looks like those are being ignored also? Are you going to force a page break between letters?
