Find Monthly Increase % to Reach Annual Goal

    Hi all, please help me!

I am trying to figure out how to perform a goal seek/solver or some other function that will yield a 2010 ANNUAL GOAL by changing the monthly percentage increase over 2009.

I've already got sales numbers for the first 3 months of 2010, so those numbers obviously represent a change from 2009 that is stagnant; the remaining months are the ones that must change in order to yield an overall 10% sales increase over 2009.

I have tried to use Solver, and it will give me that 10% annual goal increase, but in order to get it, it changes the percentages to varying amounts - i.e., April is 98% of 2009, May is 112% over 2009, and June is 128%. I need an equal increase across the remaining months of 2010.

I hope this is clear -- thank you very much!!

This will give you the % you have to increase the remain months.

=(2010 ANNUAL GOAL-SUM(3 First Months Actual 2010))/SUM(9 Remain Months 2009)

    Regards
