Aligning data on multiple rows to single Columns

    Hi,

I have Car Names on multiple rows 200k (Column A). For every Car name I have multiple entries containing 'parts' added by an extra row.

    Column AColumn B
    Audi3 Seats
    Audi3 Tyres
    Audi3 **
    Audi3 Seats
    BMW325 Radio
    BMW325 Steering Wheel
    BMW325 Seats
    GolfTyres

I want every unique entry in Column A to have all its associated 'parts aligned against it in one row. Please see example:

    Column A Column B Column C Column D Column E
    Audi Seats Tyres ** Seats
    BMW325 Radio Steering W Seats
    Golf Tyres

    Can someone please help?

Re: Aligning data on multiple rows to single Columns

    Thanks Pike.

I ran the Macro in Excel 2007 using XP and it worked for around 2.5k rows where there was data in Row A and B, however when I ran it with data which contained 60k rows I received an error message in Visual Basic: 'Out of Memory'

Any suggestions on what it could be? Does the code need amending at all?

    Hi Ray789;2297867,

My website has a macro specifically designed for this consolidation.

Columns to Rows - Consolidate Macro (see part 2)

    Give that a try.
