If a cell is over 0, how to make the cell next to it coloured aswell

    Hello,

I have a list of months in A column and in the B column next to each month i have a number. If that number is over 0 i would like both the number AND the month to go coloured.

So far i have tried highlighting both cells and then using the formula eg. =B1=">=0" but had no results.

Should i be using some brackets somewhere?

    Thank you

    Hello thewrathful,

select both cells, click Format - conditional formatting - select Formula Is and enter the formula

    =$B1>0

note the $ sign in front of the B. Select your format of choice. Then select the two cells, copy them and use Paste Special - Formats to copy the contitional format to the other cells in the two columns.

Use Conditional Formatting, Formula is: =$A1>0 & copy down
    Hope that helps.
