    Gridlines

    Hello.
Anybody can help me to find a way to define gridlines in dynamic way? Meaning empty sheet would be with no gridlines and with dark gray background. If you type anything in C5 (on this empty sheet) it changes the area up to C5 to have white background with gridlines while everything else remains with no gridlines and with dark gray background ( right to C and down to 5). If you go and type something in column E, then the white background with gridlines area becomes wider (up to E).
I'm looking on document that works in this way (no conditional formatting, no macro) but can't figure out how this could be done...
thanks a lot for any help.

You can't without either Conditional Formatting or VBA
    Hope that helps.
