I've got an MS Query issue, and given that I can't really find documentation on it, was hoping someone here can help.

I'm pulling external data into an Excel sheet from multiple tables in an Access Database for viewing purposes only. The update of this data on the sheet is but the first step of a large macro chain that is done daily. Since creating the query, i've identified additional columns that I need to pull in. When I choose to edit the query, it is displayed in MS Query. Unfortunately, the query options seem to be locked, and I can't add tables, columns, or even reorder columns. Nearly every menu option is greyed out, so I can't view tables, criteria, query properties, or parameters. it is does not appear to be read-only, and no security issues appear to exist.

anyone have a clue what it might be? anyone have a good MS Query reference site I could maybe look at?

FYI, this is on 2003 Excel and Query version (11.8164.8221) SP3
