how to change data in a column to a row?

Hi, I am new here, please tell me if I can solve the following problem using functions
(VBA is way too hard for me!)

    ORIGINAL TABLE:
    A B
    1 name hobbit
    2 John swimming
    3 John football
    4 John volley ball
    5 Peter tennis
    6 Peter swimming
    7 George tennis
    8 George volley ball

    I WANT TO CHANGE TO:

    A B C D E
    1 name hobbit1 hobbit2 hobbit3 hobbit4.....
2 John swimming football volley ball
    3 Peter tennis swimming
    4 George tennis volley ball

The first table cannot be used to do print-merge job, that's why I need to change the table fomat.

    Thanks

    George
