Excel 2007 : Excel Links

I'm using MS Excel Pro 2007, I have a large file on a MS server 2003 with plenty of links to documents on the same server, all the links on a mapped drive are now pointing to my C drive e.g. (c:\Documents and Settings\) with the rest of the path correct except for the first two folders in the tree i.e. (the path used to be m:\projects\gh233\billing\prog10\documents\april2010\doc.1) this has changed to c:\Documents and Settings\billing\prog10\documents\april2010\doc.1. Can you please help me reset the paths to the server and if you can please tell me how to prevent this from happening again.

I found the solution

Tools -> Options -> General -> Web Options -> Files

Uncheck update links on save
