Integrating a worksheet from another workbook?

    I currently use 2 workbooks.
The first is my Report workbook which has some basic calculations and formulae. I currently enter information in cells which gives a result ('Report Result 1').
I then have to open a second workbook, enter 'Report Result 1' into a cell. This then automatically calculates a result ('Calculated Result 2') which I then return to my first workbook and enter this 'Calculated Result 2'. By entering this 'Calculated Result 2', a further calculation is done and my final result is realised.

Is there a way I can integrate the second workbook into my first one?

NOTE: The second workbook is a 'locked' legacy workbook which uses calculations and formulae from 'hidden' and other sources which I can not detect.

Instead of manually entering the results, can you not reference them with simple =A1 type formula?

    e.g

    Open both workbooks.

In the 2nd workbook where you would enter the Report Result 1, enter an = sign and then go to the original workbook and select the cell the Report Result 1 would occur in.

Hit Enter.. you now have a formula to reference that cell.

Now in the original workbook, do the same and select the cell where you want Calculated Result 2 to go, enter an = sign and point to the cell in the 2nd workbook where that result occurs.. hit Enter.

Now you can close the 2nd workbook and work only with the first....

    Is that what you meant?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Thanks NBVC for your reply

    Unfortunately this won't work as:
In the 2nd workbook ('Calculated Result 2') I enter a number into a cell. A calculation is made then using this cell and the result is calculated in a further cell. It is this result that I then take to my first workbook ('Report Result 1').
If I do an '=' as suggested it just pulls the information from that cell.

Re: Integrating a worksheet from another workbook?

So you can point to the result cell in that other workbook?
