Formula to extract part data from a cell

Sorry if the title is a little vague but what i need to do if possible is create a formula to extact a item of data from a cell that has lots of other data in.

Ive attached an example what i want to do is from the data in colunm A is extact the first 2 digits (in this case 18) and place them in column C under height, then take the next 2 digits after the * ( againin this case 18) and place them in column D under width, then finally take the last few digits after the 2nd * and place them in column E under Legnth?

    Is this possible?

    In C2: =--LEFT(A2,2)

    in D2: =--MID(A2,4,2)

    in E2: =--MID(A2,7,LEN(A2)-8)

    each copied down.
