    Vlookup Help

    Hi Guys,

I am again stuck in some situation. This time this is regarding Vlookup.
I have one master sheet & 12 sheets with the name of my employees. Both the sheets has one thing in common i.e. company name. I want to maintain a mastersheet in such a manner so that if any of my employee updates the corresponding cells against company name the master sheet should automatically get updated. All the employees should be working on the unique companies alloted to them. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Little Master

So does this master sheet have references to the employee as per the tab names?

Can you post a sample workbook?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

Are you able to install and use Addins?

Can you post a sample of one of the Employee sheets and your summary workbook.

    Remove all confidential data.

    Show what changes might happen.

My IT Policy restricts me to upload anything. won't be possible for me now. Will send you one sample sheet from home.....but will appreciate if this can be done thru formula...

    Re: Vlookup Help Required

It all depends on what exactly you need.

But to have the formula intelligently figure out what workbook to get the data from, you will either need to hard code search criteria, use VBA or use addins which have formulas that allow you to get data from outside sources.

But again, won't know for sure until the sample data is seen.
