Question formula to underline groups of data based on group number in column L

    Hi,

I have many worksheets of data with over 3000 records.
I am trying to create a conditional formula which will put a bottom border under the entire row of the last record in each group based on the group numbers in column L (creating a visual separation of like records).

Is there an easy way to do this?

I've attached an excel doc as an example showing what I am trying to accomplish.

    Thanks in advance!

Select the whole range and invoke Conditional Foratting, from the Home tab

    Select New Rule

Select Use a formula to determine which cells to format

    enter:

    =AND($L5<>"",$L5<>$L4)

then click Format and choose from the Border tab.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

Question Re: formula to underline groups of data based on group number in column L

This works great but how do I get it to underline the entire row not just the cells in column L?
