Hi,
I want to add 12 days to a certain date,for example (20/5/2010 + 12),which will give me 1/6/2010
but I am geting an error message #VALUE!
also the formula should recognize which month has 30 days and which one has 31 days

You would get #VALUE! error if the date referenced is not a valid date value (ie can not be coerced to number).

Post a sample so we can better understand your set up.
