    Percentage calculations

Hello to all. I am new to the forum but excited to have found you all.

I have the following function I would like to do.

Column A has Prices in Euros, and I Column B I need to have that same price but with a given PERCENTAGE INCREASE.

    example:
    A B
€10,00 Here should appear the same price with an increase of 70%
    €20,00
    €25,00

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks to all
    Joshua

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
That does not seem to work. What does the cell formatting have to be???

    Thanks Joshua

    Re: Help for Percentage calculations

Format both Column A and B
Accountancy or Currency ....prefix = . € Italian (Italy)

Format is not an actual value, it is just a visual display

Put 10 in A2 and it will display € 10,00 but the actual value is just 10

    Put

in B2 and the actual result will be 10+(10*0.7) = 17
but because of the formatting it will display € 17,00

It really doesn't matter what the formatting is as long are both the same.

Try selecting A2:B2 and change the format to general and see what I mean.
Then try formatting A2:B2 Currency > symbol £ or $ etc.

    Cheers

    [EDIT]

You don't have, for example, €10,00 in A2 as Text by any chance?
    That would certainly not work.

    Just a thought.
