Excel 2007 : Reminder tool issue

I am sure that there is an easy way of doing this but am stuck .

I need to set up a training matrix whereby the system will calculate and highlight when training is due . I can do the ' traffic light ' part of the issue but am stuck when trying to get the date to recalculate from the original date any course was undertaken .

I am expecting col a to have the name of the course
col b to have the date when the course was undertaken
col c to have the frequency of any refresher ... ie 1 year , 2 or 3 or 0
col d the new date calculated by excel
col e a traffic light reminder that will change orange when within 2 months of deadline and red when deadline is reached ...

any help will be greater thanks
