    Refreshing Pivot Tables

    Hi,

I have around 5 pivot tables in a sheet. The source data for all these pivots comes from a Master data sheet. This master data is dynamic and will be changing on a daily basis. I want the pivot tables to dynamically change the data source, when new rows are added to the master data sheet. Please help me.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Murali

    Re: Refreshing Pivot Tables

How are the rows amended on the Data sheet - manually, via formulae, via code ?

How many columns of data are on the Data sheet ?

Do you have any Grouping in place on the Pivots ?

Where you have Grouping in place you need to be wary of refreshing the Pivots too early... ie before all fields for a given row are completed else Grouping can be lost.

Amendment is done manually and yes the Pivot tables do have grouped

    Re: Refreshing Pivot Tables

I would suggest you post a sample file which illustrates your present set up.

You're not going to want to refresh the Pivots until those fields being Grouped have themselves been completed.
