Values from Hidden Column not showing in scatter chart

I have one column of Data that is linked to another workbook, this records the amount of calls received on a weekly basis. This is linked all the way down for week 1, through to week 52.

So that a zero figure doesnt show on the scatter I have created a new column with =IF(C3=0,NA(),C3), linked this to the scatter. This all works fine. However when I hide this new column, the information dissapears from the scatter.

Hope that makes sense, any help?

Select the chart and then use menu
Tools > Options > Chart > Plot visible cells

Make sure the option is unchecked in order to plot hidden cells.
