problem inserting numbers on spread sheet

Hello,
I tried to insert numbers onto a spread sheet and for some unknown reason, they do not record accurately. For example, I inserted the following number 401626947868. When I try to import the next number, the original number appears as 4.016274E+11.

This happens repeatedly. Every time I try a new number, I get 4.01627E+11.
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you

Format the cells as Number with no decimal places.

If the string are longer than 15 characters, you'll need to format the cells as Text beforehand, or precede the entry with an apostrophe.
