Possible to also install 2000 on same PC?

Having recently bought a new laptop I am thoroughly frustrated with the (dumb) "improvements" that Microsoft keeps making in order to attempt boosting their ever-dropping Office sales.

In my humble opinion Excel 2007 represents a gross downgrade from Excel 2000! Knowing that at some point in time Excel 2000 will die I am wondering if meanwhile I could also install Excel 200 on the same Laptop, as I strive to get familiar with Microsoft's latest dumb "improvement".

I would also appreciate insights regarding other options, e.g. Open Office and Google Docs.

I have Excel 2000, 2003 and 2007 all installed on the same Windows 7 system. They also co-existed on the same XP system on my old set-up, so there are unlikely to be any hiccups on that score.

As for Open Office and Google docs, I havn't got them installed, but I can't see there being a problem. I have heard users complain about the Google Office toolbar causing problems with MS Office, so give that a wide berth.
