Show which cell, row, column that currently is active

    Hello.

I would like to offset a cell based on which current cell, row and column that currently is active.

How can I check which cell, row or column that is active?

Look at the Name box. It continually display the active cell using the notation (A1 or R1C1) you have opted to use. The name box is located immediately to left of the formual bar and directly above the column header.

That would of course work but I need to update a formula based on which cell I am currently pointing on.

Is there a function that collect the data from the current active cell?

If by "pointing on" you mean the cell which the mouse pointer is hovering over, then this would involve a great deal of complex programming.

If you mean the Excel cell pointer, then why does the name box not suffice to indicate the active cell?

You might try explaining more fully what you're seeking to accomplish.
