I have a list of NBA Players in Column A with a list of Yes, No and Maybe in Column I. Based on what Column I lists, the color and fill changes to Green, Red and Yellow using conditional formatting. How do I copy the colors from Column I to Column A, with column A changing as Column I changes?
Are the current conditional formulas in column I formulas? or just checking Cell Values?
If they are formulas, change them so that there is a $ sign preceding each colum I reference.. e.g. =$I2>0 Then you can copy formats to any column.
if the conditions are Cell Value Is type conditions, then in Column A use formulas and enter something like =$I2>0 (or whatever the condition needs to be) and repeat for the other colours...
(Where I2 is top most cell you are applying conditional format to)
Where there is a will there are many ways.
