    Multiple choice pivot table help.

    Hi there,

    Using Excel 2007.

I have results from a questionaaire.

I am looking to create a pivot table which will display the results in a asphetic way.

I would like to have the questions along the top of table ( 1 - 7)

Then down the lext hand side of the table (Y axis) have the avaiable options ( A B C D) (answers)

Then I would like the table data iselft to display a count for each question, how many people answered each of the avaliable answers.

I have included a screen shot of what I'm after and I have also included the excel spreadsheet.

I really would appreciate any help I receive for this.

    Thank you.

Create a pivot table based on your data table.
Place all the fields in the Values area.
Place 1 of the fields in the Row Labels area.

You will need to manually edit the row Labels in the pivot table to display A instead of 1 etc.

Alternatively you can change the data source. Replace 1 with A, 2 with B etc.
The build the Pivot table in the same way.
    Cheers
