    Freezing multiple panels

I am trying to freeze a column and a row on excel. I have highlighted the column to the right and then the one below and clicked on freeze panels. However it has only done one of them instead of both. Why?

I have tried doing it a few times and it will alternate between which panels it freezes, but wont do both at the same time.

You can only freeze panes on one area
    Hope that helps.

I thought I read you could do it 2 ways?

If I can't freeze the panels 2 ways then how can I do this.........

I need the titles along the top and sides of my spreadsheet to stay on the screen all the time whilst people are entering information.

If you want say column A and row 1 frozen, select just B2 then use Freeze panes.
