I have many users who are not very disipline. Often when they use a template they forget to name it and save the "generic blank template" after they've munipulated it. Is it possible to force the Save As window to appear immediately upon opening a template and forcing the user to rename the file before munipulating?
This can be done with VBA, but then macros would have to be enabled when the workbook is opened.
A sure way would be to set the Template as read only, then they would have no choice but to save it in a different name.
Hit F12
Goto Tools> General Options and set to read only.
