Unhappy Excel Defaults back to top TAB

I use Excel for our rosters and then from them into another excel spreadsheet for our timesheets/leave.

My problem is when I open Timsheet1.xls and then go back several tabs in my other xls spreadsheet, then click on timesheet1.xls and back to other spreadsheet only everytime it refreshes to the TOP TAB (not the TAB i was on)
    VERY VERY ANNOYING!!
how can i stop this refreshing to the top tab??
I want to be working backwards and need to go back several tabs (worksheets), only the stupid thing keeps putting it back to the top tab! soon as i switch from one xls to another!

I don't take drugs if thats what u mean..

The roster has two tabs (two worksheets) each with a weeks roster, so they cover a fortnight.

The problem is with the second XLS is the Timesheet/Leave form it has more than 12 months of work, each tab is a week, so lots of tabs/worksheets.
And i'm sick of re-finding the week i'm working on..

I'm talking about the tabs down the bottom, they switch between worksheets, they are in order by date, and i have to go back as far as last year, then it resets to the most recent worksheet each time! So i continually have to find the older worksheet tabs!!

Do u get what I mean?

    Does the workbook have macros?

If so check in the Woorkbook Module for something on these lines
Please Login or Register to view this content.

That will cause the workbook to default to the last sheet created every time the workbook is activated.

Sounds like that might be your problem, someone might have thought it would be handy when the workbook is opened, it defaults to the current info sheet.

If you find similar code in your workbook in the Activate Event

Try putting it in the Open Event
Please Login or Register to view this content.

That will then mean that the workbook opens with the current info tab (Top Tab?), and will not activate again until the book is closed then reopened, rather than when you switch windows.

    Hope this helps

The tab should remain on the one you are working on,having a sheet for each week shouldn't be necessary
    Hope that helps.
