Hi,

I need to know, is there a way to number the rows(say Sl no.) automatically when few rows are hidden. I need to number the data based on Column2. I have attached sample sheet( with little data). I currently keying 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. manually based on the data in Column2, Any help??

In A2 and down, =SUBTOTAL(3, C$1:C2) - 1

This must reference a column that has entries in every row, including the header. If there isn't one, add one.
