Need formula based on multiple scenarios

    Hi All,

How do I sum data based on two scenarios? For "Sheet A", I would like to enter a formula that references data found in a table on "Sheet B" - specifically, I'm looking for a match to Sheet A cells A7 and C12 on Sheet B, and then would like for the formula to provide the number in column "D" on the table. For Example,

    Sheet A cell A7 = Blue
    Sheet A cell C12 = Square

Sheet B is a table of data that where I would like to find Blue, then Square and then note the number in column "D" of the table. I am having a hard time as I don't know if I should use the VLOOKUP function, or SUMIF.

Please let me know if you need additional data.

    Thanks,

    Hi Lindsay,

If you could post a sample workbook, it would be easier to understand what you're asking, and provide an answer.

    Cheers,

    Sorry LAB2007,

My computer can't open xlsx (I'm still using Excel 2003).

    Anyone else?

    Cheers,
