Did you read the reviews at Amazon?
The book description does not site xl2007 as a version, due to it being written 3-4 year before.
Not having read it I can only assume the formula tips given will be valid if not up to date.
The biggest issue will be the UI was completely changed in xl2007.
New features have been added that would not be covered.
I suggest if you have xl2007 you find a book aimed at that version.

Thanks for your input. I purchased f1, since a new copy was only 5 dollars shipped to my house. I figure most of the formulas are the same. I will also purchase the e-book but the store is down right now for maintenance.
