can ODBC query with parameter?

Hi all,

i have create a excel ODBC query to retrieve data from database's Queries.

i want to create this ODBC query to user to get data within a period. so i has to allow uer to key in date range then to retrieve the data. how do i do that??

What does ODBC stand for?
Is this an excel question?
It sounds more like a access question.
Perhaps an example workbook with a before and sfter sheet would help explain better.
