Convert data from columns to rows

    Good Morning-

I have a problem I worked on this weekend that I can't fix. I need to convert one column of a spreadsheet to a row instead of a column. I have attached a sample with an example of how the spreadsheet look now and how I want it to look. I think I can do this with and index and match function. but have not been able to get it to work. After I get it in rows I will delete the extra rows.

    Thanks

That would be difficult to do with formulae, have you considered a pivot table? It achieves a similar effect and is very quick.

I am not calculating anything for a pivot table. What I am trying to do is get the spreadsheet to a csv file for the fax software for a blast fax. It needs to be in the format I am showing so each fax that goes out can have a list of the products. They way it is currently setup a fax would have to go to each customer for each product.

There may be another reason. See attached.

Re: Convert data from columns to rows

I have never used a pivot table for something like that. The only problem is that I want Prod1 to be the first product the client has. In the example Eric's Irrigation would have 'Hose' as Prod1 not a blank space. Do you think that is possible?

    Thanks for your help

Do you think that is possible?
I laugh in the face of your underestimation.

Note judicious use of 'show values with no data'.
