    Conditional formatting dates

    Hi,

    I am trying to build a holiday tracker in excel 2007 and i am having trouble. i want the dates in the calender to highlight red when holiday dates are entered. i have been trying to use a Match formula and various other formulas, but they are not working. I have attached the spreadsheet.

    thanks
    clare

    Re: Conditional formatting dates

    Try conditional formula:

    =COUNTIFS($A$42:$A$61,"<="&F6,$B$42:$B$61,">="&F6)

    for Holidays...

    Note: You need to have all the dates in the month carry dates like January...

    Re: Conditional formatting dates

    Did you select from F6:AB36 before applying conditional format?

    See attached... I just changed first week of February to test more...
