Scaling a XY scatter graph

hi everyone,
i have got some data which shows the amount of productivity year wise. i tries to create a graph in excel sheet using a XY scatter. everything seems to be fine including the scaling and axes until i save it n close it but once i save n close it n try to reopen again my axis values are changing ie., the scaling is goin to auto scaling instead of remaining at the value i have fixed. i have been stuck with this problem from past three days n im nt able move further in my wrk.
can anyone please suggest a answer to this problem as soon as possible.
