Creating borders to changing data sets and merging groups of identical cells

    Hi all

I'm new to Macros/VB but I'm enjoying learning and I'm quite chuffed with what i have achieved so far (mostly just formatting macros).

However, I have a few things i can't get my head round.

    1. I want to put a border round my data, to give it a table feel and make it easier on the eye. However, the number of rows I have changes everytime I import a new set of data. How do I put a border round only the cells that have entries in them?

    2. I want to merge cells that have the same entry in column A. See below:

    BIL_12_38_100
    BIL_12_38_100
    BIL_12_38_100
    BIL_12_38_100
    BIL_12_38_101
    BIL_12_38_101
    BIL_12_38_101
    BIL_12_38_102
    BIL_12_38_102
    BIL_12_38_102

Idealy there should be only 1 entry for each, but I want to keep the number of rows, so merging them is what I need to do.

    Any ideas?
