    Re: multiply by%%

    Hi,

Rather than hard code all the values in a formula, put 500 in A1, 200 in A2, 30% in B1 and 20% in B2.

    Now just use the formula

    Re: multiply by%%

    since 20 of 200 is 40
    =40+(A1-200)*30%
or are you trying to calculate for different amounts?

    Re: multiply by%%

    thanks all,

    ye didn't explain it properly.

the first 200e of any number is taxable @20% an balance |@30%

the original amount could even be less than 200e.

    any ideas!

    thanks
