    Question getting counts from columns for each row

    Please can you help

    I have a spread sheet that has devices with daily counts for different faults

    i would like to be able to find a simple way to add up all the jams per device into one column

    as per attached

    You can use SUMIF

    F5: =SUMIF($G$2:$DF$2,"Jam",$G5:$DF5)
    copied down

    (F5:F19 should be format as General BEFORE you input the formula - presently those cells are format as Text)
