If duplicate row the copy cell U to in the first row

    Hello all,

I have a excel file with quite some records and a lot of these records are duplicates.
If there are any duplicates, I would like to copy the value in cell U to cell T in the first of the 2 rows (the second row should remain as it is)

There must be a rather easy way to do this in VBA and I have done this before, but are unable to do so at this moment and lost previous macro.

    Can anybody please help?

    Thanks and regards
    Juanito

show in column v what the final result should be, also what constitutes a duplicate which columns are considered.

Re: If duplicate row the copy cell U to in the first row

    Hello Martin,

When the complete row is duplicate (all the cells) like row 2 and 3 are completely equal.

If that is the case the value in cell U for the 1st row should be copied to cell T.
In cell V2 and W2 you see an example what T2 and U2 should be.

"MCGEACS" should be copied to T2

the data in Row 3 should not change, so T3 and U3 should not change

    Regards

    Duplicate Entires

I have many entries for contact details of people which includes first name, last name, phone, address, email, location, pin, etc.
Many entries are repeated. I have found out duplicate entries via email ID. But the problem is some entires have phone, address filled and some do not have out of the duplicate entries. So i want to remove duplicate entries but make sure the data in the filled cells gets copied to the empty cells while removing duplicate. Is it possible?
