    match value first then VLOOKUP

I'm relatively new to VLOOKUP. I have a table of stores, dates, goals. I'm trying to figure out a store's goal when the date equals a specific value (I2). I've attached a snapshot of the table...the real version has every date in the month and hundreds of stores. I can create a simple vlookup of a stores goal when all the dates are the same, but when each store has several dates and I try to match the date I want in in cell I2 to the dates in column D, i'm running into problems. It's kind of like I'm trying to filter date first then do a vlookup. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I am not sure what you are looking up and where? What is your expected result and why?
Where there is a will there are many ways.
