Excel Headings - Similar to "freezing Panes"

    *Don't Disregard*

Now, I generally consider myself somewhat excel savvy and completely understand the concept of freezing panes or using the split panels. However, the other day I came across a spreadsheet that allowed for multiple headings to be "frozen" as you scrolled down the page. It reminded me of how the iPhone's contact screen works and as you scroll down alphabetically you retain the "A" heading for all of the A contacts, and as you keep scrolling the "B" heading once you reach contacts which start with the letter B. [See images attached]

Now I imagine this is not referred to as "freezing" panes any more, but I could not figure out to configure my spreadsheets to work in this manner. Any thoughts?

[Currently trying to find the file to upload as an example]

    Thanks!

    Hi,

It sounds like this functionality is being driven by some VBA (macro) code.
The macro would need to sense what the current header was, then scroll this cell to the top and then freeze the pane at that position.
