Formula for linking vertical cells horizontally

Good Day,

I have 2 worksheets in a workbook that I want to link. On the first sheet I have data in column A. I want to set up a formula that can show the same data horizontally on the second sheet in a row, say row 1.

Second, I have data in a row on the first sheet that, again, I want to appear in a column on the second sheet using formulas, not the transpose function.

Would anyone be able to help me out? I've attached a workbook to better illustrate what I am looking for. I tried using the indirect function and reading on the internet for a little over 2 hours but have given up.

To get part 1:

=INDEX('Data Sheet'!$A$1:$A$30,COLUMNS($A$1:A$1)) copied across

To get part 2:

=INDEX($C$1:$K$1,ROWS($A$1:$A1))

copied down
