    Question Autofill cells in light of passed/upcoming deadlines

    Hi,

    I have column A with a bunch of deadlines, in the form of dates. Is it possible to show in column B which are either 'delayed' (i.e. deadline has passed), 'due within 30 days' and 'not due yet'?

    Can I also lay conditional formatting over the top of Column B that I have a traffic light system operating? red = delayed, orange = due within 30 days and green = not due yet?

    Thanks

    Rowenah

    Try formula:

    =IF(A2="","",IF(A2<TODAY(),"delayed",IF(A2<=TODAY()+30,"due within 30 days","not due yet")))

    where A2 is first date to analyse.

    Then select Column B and go to Format|Conditional formatting..

    Select Cell Value Is and enter ="delayed"

    click Format and choose Red from Pattern Tab

    click Ok, click Add

    Repeat with formula ="due within 30 days"

    and make it yellow and repeat for "not due yet" in green.
    Where there is a will there are many ways.
