    Hi All

I have attached a sample worksheet called potholes.

On the MASTER page I want to have another page ( SAY SHEET 1) to the RIGHT of MASTER at cell L13 and have them scroll but in NOT SYNC so I can copy cells accross to the master page

    Last night I was advised to use ( View/Arrange All/Vertical )

    Sadly this did not work.

    I am using Excel 2016

If anybody can assist I will be gratful.

    Peter

    Good Morning to you.

I have downloaded your modified file and I cannot see on the Master sheet where you have the other sheet beside the Red vertical line.

if you can assist further I would be appreciated.

    Many Thanks

    Hi,

Not sure what has happened here (see my post #3), but if you download the file, then down load it a second time then:-
Click View and select "View Side by Side"
    De-Select "Synchronous Scrolling"
Select Master in left hand screen and Sheet 2 in right hand screen.
I did this with the one you attached and it worked.
Please let me know if this works for you.

    Regards

    Re: Join pages

    Hi Peter ( I'm assuming)

I have struggled with it for 30 minutes to no sucess, maybe it a function they have dropped in the 2016 version. ???

I can open 2 seperate files, but they still scroll in sync, even tho I have deselected it.

    Hi Pete,

    Thanks for the feedback.

@ALiGW thanks for your feed back too - I was beginning to think I had lost the plot!

With regard to hiding the 2 "J" columns I would suggest macros - how are you with macros?

    Regards

I find that SHIFT selecting the columns I want to hide is pretty fast, unless you mean right to the right extremity of the sheet ...

Select a cell in column J (to hide only the columns that contain data, do this in a row that has data in all columns, to hide empty columns as well, use an empty row) then press Shift Ctrl and right arrow.

Right click in the selected range and hide - entire column.

    Re: Join pages

I can't tell whether you have solved this or not. This is how I got side by side with your original workbook.
    1. Click on the View Tab
    2. Click on New Window
    3. Click on Arrange All and select Vertical (you should see tabs for your worksheets in each window)
    4. In the left window, click on the Master tab to select it.
    5. In the right window, click on the Sheet1 tab to select it.

Hide the columns as suggested by Jason.b75
I couldn't upload a workspace file showing this so a picture will have to do.

    Hi Pete

It is too long since I attempted a macro, I have forgotten the procedures.

I want to hide say columm J to the extreme far right.

    Re: Join pages

    Just add a line like

Please Login or Register to view this content.
to the end of your existing macro.

You could get some basic code to do that by recording a macro while you do it manually.
