find all entries of a value and give extended results

Hi all,

New to this and could really do with a hand. I have a table full of fixtures between two teams, ten fixtures a week. What im trying to do is create a formula to find a particular team and every time this team occurs, I want take the full line from the sheet. Basically I want to find a team in the sheet and create a new list with this team and their opponents each week.

When I find this I want to relate each opponent to their place in the league thus making it a value and meaning I can look at what teams have easy run of games coming up by adding their opponents values

If anyone could help at all it would be great because Ive come up against a brick wall.

could you attach a very simplified version of your data. Go Advanced> Scroll down > You'll see the option to attach a file.

Hi meyero90

ive attached the file I am working from.

I want to be able to type in a team name and retrieve a list of all their games from the fixtures tab (38 in this case)
Then in an adjacent cell I would like to be able to match opponents to their league position from the league table tab.

Can you guide me a little bit in your spreadsheet...like in what cell should to formula be in? give me an example of a result you expect to show and what are the variables you will use to generate the desired result.
