    Using the Count Function

My workbook includes a list of text cells that include duplicates. I need to use the count function to tell me how many times each cell (or customer name) is duplicated.

The count function is quite confusing. Can someone please help?

    Re: Using the Count Function

    use Countif

    eg

=Countif(A:A,A2) placed in B2 and copied down will tell you how many times the value in A2 is duplicated within column A
Where there is a will there are many ways.
