Cut Rows to New Sheet based on cell Criteria

I have a spreadsheet that I would like to move entire rows from sheet 1 (CMR) to sheet 2 (Closed) based on criteria located in column "I". If "i" contains "closed" the entire row needs to be moved to sheet 2. The spreadsheet will have data added to sheet 1 (CMR) on a daily basis. The blank rows would need to be removed and the closed items would continue to be added to the next available row on sheet 2 (closed). This should happen automatically.

I have attached a sample. Thanks in advance for the help I have been working on for 3 days just cannot get anything to work.

Can you tell us/ show us what you've tried, perhaps we can offer a simple correction to your existing efforts?

Re: Cut Rows to New Sheet based on cell Criteria

Well my last effort was to run a VB macro but all of my data disappeared when I ran the macro so everything is gone. I originally had a company logo in row 1 and thought that might me the problem so I have removed, but all my work is gone since running the macro I am starting from scratch.

I think I have been defeated by excel and may just have to resort to moving manually.

    Hope you can help.

The data is only gone is you save the workbook after running the macro, you didn't save the corrupted sheet did you?

Always make sure you are testing macros on a backup copy, as well.

Let's see the macro, I'm sure the problem will be evident.
