    Looking up values from tables

    Hello there,

    I have a workbook ( see attached)

All values in columns AD are calculated using the other values on the same row

All values in column AE are maximums from column AD. you will notice that my data is separated in 'sets' (for example the first set is from row 7 to 70) and these values are maximums for each 'set'

Now what I need to do is:
for each 'set', i have to look up the row corresponding to the maximum and read off the value in column 'S' (Act)

for the last set (scroll down completely).. the maximum is 16.291 (cell AE2245) and this corresponds to row 2249 and the value of Act is 0.661

Ive got 8 books i need to do this for. each of these books contain 15 similar sheets. so i have to do this 120 times :S is there any way i can automate this?this would be really helpful

    thanks in advance

    you īd do follow steps:

    - select AE7:AE2249 at the sheet Gamma in your attached file , then Copy, Ctrl+C
-Open a workbook containing 15 sheets, you select all the sheets (Group sheets), then right click at AE7, and chose Paste - it will copy fomular max for 15 sheets. Now you rightclick on the sheet tab and click Ủngoup
    - do the same for 7 other workbook, so you only do 8 times
