    Exclamation How to Hide Formula & Sheet

    Encl my workbook - CODELOOKUP.XLS

    I need to :
    1. Hide the formulas in Sheet 1 column B so that when I click on cell B2 only the output is displayed, not the formula.
    2. Hide sheet2 totally so it is not visible/ modifiable and cannot be opened except thru password.

    Thanks for any help on this...

    Hide Formulas
    Selektiere die Zellen, deren formeln man nicht sehen darf und selektiere dann unter "Format Cells =>Protection" die checkbox hidden. Dann musst du das sheet protecten.

    Hide Sheet
    Das folgende Tool kann Worksheets so hiden, dass man mit der Standard Exce Unhide Funktion diese sheets nicht mehr sieht und dementsprechend auch nicht unhiden kann.

    sorry...

    Hide Formulas
    Select the cells that should not show a formula. Then select under Format Cells=>Protection the checkbox "hidden". After that you have to protect the sheet and you will not see any formulas anymore.


    Hide Sheet
    the tool below (in english) can hide worksheets so that the standard excel unhide function cannot see and therefore unhide them.

    in MS Excel 2007:

    open a desired worksheet of formule > Main Menu > View > Formula Bar

    now plz "un-tick" this 'Formula Bar' option, so the formula bar will not be seen, and u can carry on ur work.

    and now if u want some advance trick or u r done with ur worksheet, then just do — select the cells, which ur want to lock (use 'Ctrl' key for various cells), then press 'Ctrl+1' > Protection > click on Locked > click on Hidden options.

    now go to...

    Review > Protect Sheet > select locked cells > give a password > OK

    Note - 'select locked cells' option must be unticked, so it will not allow to users to select the locked cells for formulas.

    Very Important: Never forget the password ....
